El Banco Nacional Del Paraguay, Asuncion, January 1, 1886, Series A, PMG 58 Choice About Uncirculated. PMG notes: Pinhole, only one in the UR corner (see reverse). Archival Script Pencil Date “July 1886” in the UR corner margin, and partial Red Script Archival Printer’s annotation in bottom right margin. Usual Rectangular Violet Archival stamp with “RETURN TO” etc. at right center. A very rare antique banknote with good color and crispness. Three wide margins and slightly askew at the bottom, as all three of this series are; apparently to remove the red printer’s annotation. Also, it seems that a tiny corner bend at the bottom right, is the only thing that kept this note from being a 62. Pick only notes a Proof, no Specimen. Only 5,000 issued notes were originally printed for Series A. (Another 5,000 issued notes were printed for Series B, for a total of only 10,000 issued notes). This is the only one graded by PMG.
