El Banco Nacional Del Paraguay, Asuncion, January 1, 1886, Series A, PMG Choice Uncirculated. PMG notes: Great Color, Pinhole, only one in the UR corner (see reverse). Archival Script Printer’s Pencil Date “July 1886” in UR corner margin, and partial Red Script Archival annotation in bottom right margin. Usual Rectangular Violet Archival stamp with “RETURN TO” etc., at right center. A very rare antique banknote with excellent crispness, good color, and nice centering, which includes three wide margins. Again the bottom margin is very slightly askew, as are all three of this series, apparently to remove the red printer’s annotation. Pick only notes a Proof, no Specimen. Only 5,000 issued notes were originally printed for Series A. (Another 5,000 issued notes were printed for Series B, for a total of only 10,000 issued notes). This is the only one graded by PMG.
