El Banco Nacional Del Paraguay, Asuncion, January 1, 1886, Series A, PMG Choice About Uncirculated. PMG notes: Great Color, Pinhole, only one in the UR corner (see reverse). Archival Script Printer’s Date “April 1887” in UR reverse corner margin, and partial Red Script Archival annotation in bottom right margin. Usual Rectangular Violet stamp with “RETURN TO” etc., at right center. Very rare antique high-value banknote with decent crispness and color. Very well centered except slightly askew at the bottom right, as are all three of this series, apparently to remove the red printer’s annotation. Only 5,000 issued notes were originally printed for Series A. (Another 5,000 issued notes were printed for Series B, for a total of only 10,000 issued notes). Pick only notes a Proof, no Specimen. This is the only one graded by PMG.
