Pick S156, Series A, January 31, 1912, Santo Domingo. Dual Denomination - $50 / 50 Pesos. ABNCO Red order number “F3264” is to the right of the woman’s head. The very unusual thing is the apparently error order number “F3464” to the right of the head that has two bars crossing it out. There is also a Printer’s Archival Violet date stamp of “May 2 1912” in the Upper Right reverse margin. Why is this very well-centered, crisp, bright note not graded 65? Apparently there is a slight indentation from a paper clip barely visible in the top center margin of the reverse. Pick (12th) notes only a Proof, and no Specimens. A RARE antique banknote. (PMG population report shows only 4 of this note graded.)
